Call of Heroes: Watch out for in this action-packed Chinese movie

How far would you go to see that justice has been served? That’s the ultimate question being raised in Benny Chan’s upcoming war epic Chinese movie Call of Heroes, one of the latest movie releases to come out this 18 August 2016. This action-packed Chinese movie stars Sean Lau, Louis Koo and Eddie Peng, with its film distribution rights bought by Universe Films Distribution.

Set in the early Republic of China after the fall of the Qing dynasty, the $32m upcoming Chinese movie tells the tale of a country trodden by ceaseless civil wars. The new ruling warlord Cao Ying sent his son Cao Shaolun (by Louis Koo) to conquer the remote village of Pucheng. Known to be merciless and impatient, Shaolun ended the lives of innocent and orphans relentlessly. He was then put into captivity and the guardian commander Yang Kenan (by Sean Lau), planned to execute him after the trial.

Zhang Yi (by Wu Jing), a colonel under Cao Ying, came to rescue Shaolun and came across Ma Feng (by Eddie Peng). Zhang tried to persuade Ma to take his side, but Ma was determined to assist Yang to keep the cruel warlord Shaolun behind bars.

With Zhang failing to release Shaolun, Cao’s army invaded Pucheng and caused numerous deaths. These brave heroes swore to fight the battle to protect their homeland, where all comes with a price.
