How to survive a zombie apocalypse during the ancient times surely gets us curious… It might be really hard. But now that we’re living at present, what would you do to stay alive during a zombie attack? First, you have to be prepared. The zombie apocalypse might not be happening soon, but preparedness for any emergency is important. As they say, “It’s better to be ready than sorry.” Preparing for a zombie apocalypse is like preparing for any other natural disaster. Have an emergency bag with the following items for each family member:
‧ Water (1 gallon per person a day)
‧ Food (regular, non-perishable items like canned meat and vegetables, crackers and nuts)
‧ Medications (prescribed and non-prescribed meds)
‧ First Aid Kit (gauze pads, antibiotic ointment, antiseptic solution and adhesive tape)
‧ Tools (flashlight, utility knife, duct tape, batter-operated radio, extra batteries)
‧ Clothing (a few clothes and a blanket)
Now that you have prepared the necessary items key to your survival, discuss some plans with your family. In case your area gets invaded by zombies, pick a meeting place where you and your family members can meet. It might be a good idea to pick two different places in case the other one gets attacked too. In cases like this, cellular networks might not be available, make a list of important addresses like the police stations. A map can also be handy so you can plan your evacuation route.
We’ll never know what kind of zombies attack us or is it ever going to happen. But by watching zombie movies, including the new movie Rampant, we get a glimpse of how to fight off these horrifying creatures and maybe, apply some techniques on how to survive.
