After 4 years of being frozen, Ice Man 2 is now heading to the big screen!

Yes, we are finally breaking the ice! 4 years after the Hong Kong-Chinese comedy-action movie Ice Man has been released, Ice Man 2 is now heading to the big screen!

Ice Man is the remake of the 1989 kung fu fantasy film “Ice Man Cometh” directed by Clarence Fok and starred Yuen Biao. The 2014 remake was directed by Law Wing-cheung and starred Hong Kong’s top action star, Donnie Yen.

In the film, Donnie Yen plays the role of He Ying, a Ming Dynasty officer who was tasked to obtain a time-travel device called “The Golden Wheel of Time”. On his way home, he was betrayed by his fellow imperial guards Sao (Wang Bao Qiang) and Niehu (Yu Kang) and was frozen with the two due to an avalanche. Years have passed when the frozen bodies were discovered in modern day Hong Kong.

In present time, Niehu and Sao are set to seek revenge towards He Ying. He Ying also befriends May (Eva Huang) who is a nightclub hostess.

Through flashbacks, it is revealed that the three and Cheung (Simon Yam) are blood brothers who fought side by side before He Ying was charged with treason.

Ice Man: The Time Traveller

Directed by Raymond Yip, Ice Man: The Time Traveller is the sequel of the film Ice Man that was released back in 2014. Donnie Yen returns for the film along with Wang Bao Qiang (Kung Fu Jungle), Huang Sheng-Yi (Kung Fu Hustle) and Simon Yam (Operation Red Sea). Yasuaki Kurata (Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars) also joins the all-star cast in the sequel.

400 years later pass and they are defrosted continuing the battle they left behind…
